Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities for Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Serve as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders while collaborating with complex and chronic care management teams. Perform duties under the direction of the Manager of Social Work in the hospital setting, ensuring longitudinal community support services are coordinated effectively. Work day or evening shifts including weekends and two holidays per year at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, with a per diem schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- BLS certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- 2 holidays per year
