Job Summary
Social Worker responsible for delivering trauma-informed care for people who may be experiencing homelessness, severe addictions, mental illness, or concurrent disorders. Oversees recovery-oriented goal setting, group and program planning for a 68-unit supportive housing building in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant area. Works with program staff and a peer specialist to conduct psychoeducational groups and provide individual client support using CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma recovery modalities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited University
- Registration with the BC College of Social Workers
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar setting with a mental health or addictions related agency
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Emergency First Aid - Community Care or equivalent)
- WHMIS certificate
- Ministry of Justice criminal records check required if hired
