Job Summary
Manage a caseload of up to 25 families by overseeing assigned homemakers and conducting monthly home visits. Perform ongoing assessments of service needs, develop and review Task Plans, and provide recommendations for reauthorization or case closure. Advocate for clients to secure additional services and link them with community resources while maintaining case records and preparing required reports. Liaise with primary case workers from other agencies and HASA staff. Attend in-service training and staff meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstration of sensitivity to clients' ethnicity, cultural background and family situations
- Sound casework and assessment skills
- Effective advocacy skills
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize community resources
Desired Qualifications
- Two plus years of related experience
- Basic awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on families
- Fluency in Spanish
