Social Worker - Child Protection

Job Summary
Conduct assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs, then develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams. Undertake statutory visits, maintain accurate case records, and intervene in crisis situations to ensure immediate child safety. Attend child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings while working closely with families to promote positive change. Liaise with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to coordinate support, provide written reports for legal proceedings, and monitor cases regularly for progress and compliance. Advocate for the rights and welfare of children and young people within the dedicated Child Protection Team in Cornwall.
Required Qualifications
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
