Job Summary
Lead and supervise clinical staff on inpatient units, oversee program planning, policy development, monitoring, and quality improvement; participate in recruitment, hiring, orientation, and performance evaluations; represent the Social Work & Care Coordination department in interdisciplinary and community collaborations; drive staffing decisions, staff development, and equitable, inclusive practice; require MSW, WA-licensed clinical social work credentials (LISW or equivalent), and at least five years of health-care social work experience with supervision responsibilities; on-call coverage one week per month; located at UW Medical Center - Montlake in Seattle.
Required Qualifications
- Master's of Social Work (MSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Current active license or within 90 days of hire for one of the following credentials issued by the state of Washington: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
- Must meet WA State Department of Health criteria to be an “approved supervisor” for clinical supervision of provisionally licensed social workers
- Five years of full-time professional Social Work experience in a health care delivery system, with at least two years in a health care setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle a fluctuating workload
- Adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics
- Hospital Inpatient Case Management experience
