Job Summary
Part-time Social Work Lecturer for Autumn 2026 at The Ohio State University Mansfield Campus. Lecturer will deliver instruction for undergraduate BSSW and graduate MSW programs, following a course syllabus, and utilize Carmen Canvas to post materials, manage grades, and provide resources. Responsibilities include attending planning meetings, grading student work with timely feedback, reporting final grades and instances of academic misconduct, and maintaining office hours for student meetings. Applicants should demonstrate foundational social work skills (client engagement, biopsychosocial assessment, intervention planning, evaluation) and bring research and statistical literacy to support ethical, evidence-informed practice. This position is staffed as a part-time semester lecturer role with reappointment potential, located on Mansfield Campus, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate social work experience
- Experience with teaching or lecturing in social work
- Experience with research and statistical literacy to support ethical, evidence-informed decision making in social work practice
