Job Summary
The Master of Social Work Intern will provide support and assistance to older adult clients under the supervision of a SIFI-certified Social Worker. Responsibilities include completing home visits and office visits, conducting client intakes, providing information and referrals, screening clients for entitlements and benefits, and advocating for clients' needs. The intern will also be responsible for maintaining communication with clients and families, completing case notes, reporting statistics, and facilitating group activities. Active participation in supervision, team meetings, and training is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a Master of Social Work program
- Strong interest in social work and geriatrics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and advocate for clients
- Willingness to participate in supervision and team meetings
