Social Support Worker (Female Only)

Provide emotional, social, and behavioral support to clients in residential or community-based settings as a Social Support Worker. Assist clients with personal care, developmental needs, and help them live more safely and independently. Conduct client check-ins, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and supportive counseling; facilitate access to community resources, housing supports, employment programs, and social services. Promote independence, life-skills development, and community integration; facilitate recreational, educational, and social activities; maintain accurate documentation (progress notes, incident reports, behavioral observations, daily logs). Support clients facing mental health challenges, addictions, trauma, or dual diagnoses using trauma-informed approaches. Ensure safety, dignity, confidentiality, and well-being; collaborate with case managers, healthcare professionals, families, and community partners; perform light household duties and meal preparation as required within residential settings; adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and agency policies; perform other duties as assigned. Schedule includes 8-hour shifts with Full-time, Part-time, and Casual roles at a single Hamilton location; in-person work; requires 1+ year experience in healthcare/community settings. Certifications include SSW certificate, Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid CPR (Class C), and Covid-19 vaccination proof; English language proficiency and ability to work flexible hours, including On-Call & weekend shifts.
