Job Summary
Teach Social Studies to grades 9-12, developing and administering a social studies curriculum aligned with district goals; design and deliver engaging lesson plans to explore history, geography, economics, political science, systems of government, and related humanities; foster understanding of world cultures, racial, ethnic, religious groups, and political systems; develop students' research, critical thinking, and communication skills through reading, writing, discussions, and presentations; assess student progress and adapt instruction to individual needs, including students with disabilities; maintain accurate records, collaborate with staff and families, and participate in professional development to stay current with educational practices and laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field
- Valid California Teaching Credential
- Current Certificate of Freedom from Active Tuberculosis
