Job Summary
Social Studies teacher for grades 3-8 in New Orleans. Responsibilities include planning rigorous, Louisiana Student Standards-aligned lessons using Tier 1 curriculum; differentiating instruction to meet diverse learners; using student data to assess and adjust instruction; communicating with parents and staff; participating in school and network-wide coaching; engaging in extended-hours responsibilities and maintaining a safe, positive, student-led learning environment. Requires at least 2 years urban teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 2 years of urban teaching experience with a record of student achievement
- Experience with Tier 1 Curriculum preferred
- Louisiana Student Standards-aligned lessons
- Ability to differentiate learning needs and provide accommodations
- Strong communication with parents and staff
- Participation in coaching and professional development
- Commitment to student-centered approach and teamwork
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
