Job Summary
Social Studies Teacher/Coach responsible for creating and delivering engaging lessons aligned to district and Texas Education Agency standards. Develop and implement lesson plans,Assessment strategies, and accommodations to address diverse learners; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment; supervise instructional aides and volunteers; lead extracurricular activities and sponsor related programs; communicate professionally with parents and staff; participate in staff development and adhere to school policies. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas secondary social studies teaching certificate with endorsements; experience of about 3 years; AED certification is noted for PD/PE contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements secondary social studies
