Job Summary
Teach Social Studies to students at Westside High School in Anderson, SC, following SCDE Standards and Anderson School District Five Approved Curriculum. Plans daily instruction tailored to students’ needs, uses varied instructional strategies and sources, monitors progress with assessment and feedback, maintains classroom expectations and a safe, respectful environment, communicates with parents/guardians, participates in professional development and staff activities, and fulfills duties under state and federal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid South Carolina teaching certificate for the content/grade levels assigned
- Meets Highly Qualified requirements defined by ESEA preferred
- Documented successful teaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in the use of technology preferred
