Job Summary

Facilitate personalized learning environments where students take ownership of their pace and progress by directing them to academic resources like AI tutors and intervention programs. Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one mentoring sessions to provide feedback on academic progress, attitude, and behavioral growth while implementing trauma-informed principles and restorative justice practices daily. Coordinate and proctor state-approved assessments, monitor credit completion, and maintain accurate records in Google Workspace for data integrity. Assist in proactive outreach via phone calls, texts, and home visits to re-engage disengaged students, and collaborate with Success Coaches and Family Advocates to provide wraparound support. Manage classroom administration and instructional data systems while actively participating in school-wide events to build student belonging.

Required Qualifications

  • A deep passion for empowering underserved youth and a belief in the power of education in changing the trajectory of a student's life.
  • Demonstrated coaching and teaching skills with the ability to move others toward mastery.
  • A growth-oriented mindset, including a desire to learn new instructional frameworks and an active willingness to be coached for constant improvement.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and implement new educational technology platforms quickly.

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Teaching License.
  • Experience in a charter school or urban education setting.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed instructional practices.
