Job Summary
Support new student enrollment through recruitment and outreach, then create personalized learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Serve as an advisor for assigned Graduation Candidates by maintaining open communication, monitoring attendance and academic progress, and providing targeted remediation or enrichment activities. Plan and deliver subject-specific instruction in individual and group settings, conduct formative and summative assessments, and analyze data to inform instructional decisions and enhance student outcomes. Collaborate with the student support team to develop behavior improvement plans, transition strategies, and incentive programs, while actively participating in academy-wide meetings and community events to advocate for student success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Florida 6-12 educator's license with a secondary Social Studies endorsement
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Commitment to supporting at-risk youth
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to context-switch
- Comfortable working in an open, student-centered workspace without a private office or classroom
- Consistent, reliable attendance during scheduled work hours
- On-site presence

Desired Qualifications
- Masters' degree
- Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies
- Familiarity with alternative education models
- Experience with competency-based learning
- Instructional coaching experience
- Project-based education experience
- Strong comfort with technology in educational settings
