Job Summary
Provide appropriate learning activities and experiences in core subjects to enable students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans, adapt instructional strategies, assess student learning, and collaborate with special education staff. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment while establishing communication with parents and staff. Responsibilities include overseeing instructional aides, participating in professional development, and fulfilling reporting duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned (ESL endorsement / certification required for selected subjects)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
