Job Summary
Teach Social Studies/History to high school students at Crescenta Valley High School. Develop standards-aligned lesson plans, differentiate instruction for English Learners and students with special needs, and use data to plan instruction. Collaborate with department teams, participate in IEP meetings, maintain records and progress reports, and communicate with parents/guardians to support student learning. Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment and engage in professional development. The role involves the 186-school-day work year within the Glendale Unified School District, with responsibilities across planning, assessment, and collaboration to meet student achievement goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- California Social Science Teaching Credential
- English Learner Authorization (CLAD, ELA1, ELAM, ELAS, ELAE, or similar)
