Job Summary
Social Studies Classroom Teacher for the 26/27 school year. Responsibilities include developing and administering curriculum aligned to district goals, creating and translating lesson plans into instructional experiences, ongoing assessment and modification of instruction to meet individual student needs, promoting a safe learning environment, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and communicating with students, parents, and administration. Requires collaboration with grade-level colleagues, use of standard office equipment, and willingness to travel to district buildings and professional meetings as needed. Must hold or be eligible for North Carolina State Certification as a Teacher; bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline is required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification/License: North Carolina State Certification as a Teacher or eligible to hold
- Education: Bachelor from an accredited college or university in Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Experience: Successful prior teaching experience is a plus
