Job Summary
Conduct structured, goal-oriented Family Centered Treatment in the natural environment for families involved in child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, and substance use systems. Provide crisis intake, assessment, intervention, and after-care linkage while leading Child and Family Team Meetings and testifying in court when subpoenaed. Deliver at least two multi-hour sessions weekly with each family system, maintaining a caseload of four to six families and coordinating care with other providers. Complete thorough documentation including treatment plans and progress notes, receive ongoing supervision, and advocate for families with outside agencies. Assess risk factors and report critical incidents to the supervisor while complying with state licensing requirements and Pressley Ridge policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, marriage & family therapy, or related human service field from an accredited college
- Certification through the Family Centered Treatment Foundation
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- One (1) year of experience working with at-risk children and families
- State Police clearance
- FBI clearance
- Child Abuse clearance
- CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation
- Ability to operate a keypad device 25% of the day
- Ability to use electronic/office equipment 25% of the day
- Ability to travel approximately 5 times per month
- Ability to work in weather conditions about 25% of the day
- Ability to transport students to and from school, school-based appointments, and/or field trips
- Ability to drive
- Routine use of fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet throughout the day
- Use of lower and upper torso 75% of the day
- Minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision
- Walking required 50% of the day
- Standing occurs 25% of the day
- Sitting happens 25% of the day
- Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting performed 25% of the day
- Ability to routinely lift 15 pounds, 4 times per day
- Maximum lift of 50 pounds, 1 time per day
- Ability to handle distractions that interfere
- Ability to frequently perform multiple tasks, make quick decisions, and concentrate
- Ability to occasionally handle diversity of problems
- Extensive travel to client homes and throughout the community
- Ability to work in conditions including tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, mold and other allergens
- Non-traditional work schedule as defined by service needs
- Ideal candidates will live in one of our service counties (Bellmont, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, and/or Muskingum)
