Job Summary
Coordinate the Head Start Social Services function by coordinating Family Partnership processes, mentoring Parent Coordinators and Home-Based Advocates, and ensuring full integration of Head Start children and families into centers’ programs. Responsibilities include facilitating Parent Coordinator and service-team meetings, documenting activities in Child Plus, securing information (health records, USDA forms, consents), developing partnerships and interagency agreements in the Southern Seven Head Start area, assisting with enrollment and eligibility processes, developing and maintaining social services policies and procedures, conducting staff trainings, ensuring case management and follow-up for families (including DCFS referrals and foster care coordination), and participating in program reviews and safety initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, DCFS background check, and ongoing DCFS trainings; strong communication, organizational, and supervisory abilities; physical ability for routine childcare environment tasks; and a valid driver’s license. Salary range: $23.56–$25.98 hourly.
