Job Summary
Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with NASW Code of Ethics, federal, state, and local guidelines, and company policies. Foster a climate enabling residents to maximize individuality, independence, and dignity while providing access to services for psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs. Identify resident needs and coordinate service delivery to ensure the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or human services, state certification/licensure, and minimum one year of supervisory geriatric experience in a health care setting. Two years of prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting experience required. Required Qualifications
- Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services field
- Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
