Job Summary
Manage social service programs by budgeting, planning, and monitoring initiatives across the portfolio while liaising with nonprofit organizations and community agencies. Supervise Social Services Coordinators, oversee weekly and monthly case management meetings, and maintain a comprehensive Resource Directory for state and local service providers. Ensure all program operations and activities adhere to HUD regulations, legal guidelines, and internal policies by devising evaluation strategies and preparing detailed reports. Coordinate program interdependencies between properties, manage staffing schedules, and resolve tenant-related issues through direct interaction with residents and internal departments. Initiate goals aligned with strategic objectives and enhance efficiency through continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in social work
- 5+ years within the social service field
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven management skills
- Understanding of project management
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse tenant population and other stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to proactively anticipate and solve problems
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
- Must be able to reach objects, engage in repetitive movements with the wrist, hands, and fingers by typing; feel and touch objects with fingers, palm, and hands
- Must be able to talk and hear, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work and the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound
- Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time; walking and/or moving about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for long distances; moving from one work site to another or occasionally in narrow aisles, hallways, or passageways; expected to climb, stoop, push, pull, grasp, lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in occasionally subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and temperature changes (extreme cold or extreme heat) with or without effective protection from the weather
- Must be able to be subject to noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the noise
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Proven experience in program management within residential tenant environment
