Job Summary
The Social Service Specialists/Educator implements training and supportive services to the military community within the Army Community Service (ACS) Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Responsibilities include planning and conducting research-based, evidence-driven educational workshops, facilitating monthly playgroup sessions, delivering annual trainings on domestic violence and child abuse/neglect, assisting with marketing and outreach, supporting major awareness campaigns, conducting needs assessments, analyzing community data, participating in regular meetings, and providing personnel crisis support as needed, all while maintaining CNACI clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate's degree in education, social or behavioral science, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience in family and children services or community organization, of which at least one year is in family violence or child abuse neglect or maltreatment related services.
- Personal and/or professional experience with military personnel and military family members.
- Demonstrated ability to create and present effective, professional PowerPoint training slides on a variety of related FAP and ACS training topics.
- Experience in computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, and computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft TEAMS, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and Access, to perform basic word processing, telecommunications, database management, online data entry, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet access.
- Experience providing customer service to a diverse population. This may include face-to-face telephonic, virtual trainings and presentations, public speaking or written communication.
