Social Service Director

Establish and promote the vision and direction of the Department of Social Services consistent with state and federal mandates and the County's strategic plan. Supervise day-to-day operations by setting job assignments, priorities, and administrative policies for income maintenance, employment training, and related functions. Develop departmental goals, orient new care team members, and implement educational programs. Provide direct psychosocial interventions, perform resident assessments, create care plans, and coordinate visits with outside services. Assist families in coping with placement, illness, and the grieving process while planning discharges and attending resident council meetings. Administer the departmental budget and ensure compliance through policy implementation and follow-up.
