Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed social services support within a shelter program under the Program Manager, including case management, coordinating with agencies for resources, leading groups and activities for clients, assisting with paperwork and appointments, maintaining facility records, and promoting inclusive, non-discriminatory practices; requires strong communication, knowledge of community services, administrative capability, and the ability to transport clients as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to utilize the trauma-informed care model to provide open communication, fair and equitable treatment, and display care and compassion
- Excellent in-person, phone, email and written communication skills for team members and clients, even in stressful situations
- Knowledge of community services
- Must possess Microsoft Word skills
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation)
- Must have reliable transportation and a phone
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
- Experience working in crisis intervention preferred
