Job Summary
Maintain food pantry and storage units by ensuring they remain clean and organized, while preparing food boxes and bags for client needs. Assist with unloading delivery trucks, managing food donations, and coordinating pick-ups from local stores. Support the Director with commodities and TEFAP, record freezer and refrigeration temperatures, and help with seasonal activities during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Conduct food drives in the community and assist with vouchers for various Army programs. Perform other assigned responsibilities including driving to local stores when required. This role supports The Salvation Army's mission to help clients meet their needs within our ability.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consecutively
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Must be 21 years old at minimum (for insurance provision)
- Ability to maneuver
- Ability to remain in a stationary position
- Ability to grasp
- Ability to push
- Ability to pull
- Ability to reach overhead
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to access and produce information from the computer
- Ability to operate telephone
- Ability to understand written information
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
