Job Summary
Social Science Teacher position for SY 2026-27 responsible for planning and delivering rigorous, differentiated instruction to accelerate student achievement. Responsibilities include teaching assigned classes, using research-based assessment strategies, collecting and analyzing student data to differentiate instruction, participating in IEP meetings, applying identity-safe, culturally-relevant pedagogy, providing regular feedback, planning units and formative assessments, maintaining attendance and academic records, building positive relationships with the school community, contributing to professional learning communities, and communicating with parents and colleagues. Requires motivating and engaging students, using data to drive instructional improvement, collaborating with staff, and employing technology to strengthen teaching. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and a valid California teaching credential; ability to navigate California standards, curriculum frameworks, and culturally-responsive pedagogy; strong communication and time-management skills. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization or a degree major in the subject area or at least 18 semester units or 9 upper division semester units in the subject area
