Job Summary
Teach social science courses with a focus on World History to diverse learners, implement a range of instructional strategies to meet individual needs, develop engaging lesson plans aligned to standards and external assessments, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and refine curriculum, integrate technology into instruction, and support co-curricular activities as a coach or sponsor. Travel between Prospect High School and John Hersey High School as needed; candidate will hold Illinois PEL with a Senior High School Social Science endorsement and demonstrate success with diverse learners; commitment to student-centered learning and professional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior High School endorsement in Social Science; academically prepared to teach multiple social science courses including World History and United States History; proficient in using technology for instruction; ability to support curriculum development and external assessments; willingness to coach/sponsor co-curricular activities; commitment to collaborative curriculum development and implementation.
