Social Media Manager

Lead the end-to-end social media strategy for Betway Tanzania, owning platform-specific approach, content calendar, and reactive marketing to drive brand performance. You will set the platform-by-platform strategy (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and ensure a balanced proactive/reactive content mix, coach a social-first mindset across internal stakeholders, and oversee content creation, production, and quality control with creators, agencies, and production teams. Manage community engagement, tone-of-voice, crisis and sensitive topics per brand policy, and identify UGC opportunities. Collaborate on brand activations, sponsorships, and local influencer/content creator programs; provide real-time insights to content and brand teams and support country management with local content opportunities that fit cultural and sporting moments. Ensure all content complies with Tanzania responsible gambling regulations and Jackpot City's brand guidelines; monitor sentiment and live coverage for events, including live blogs and second-screen content. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or related field plus demonstrated Tanzania social-media leadership is expected; travel within the region may be required. This is a senior, strategic role reporting into Headquarters in South Africa.
