Job Summary
Create high-quality, engaging content for Facebook and Instagram using trends and analytics to grow accounts and meet performance targets. Schedule approved posts via management tools and monitor metrics like engagement, reach, and conversion rates to refine strategies. Execute organic campaigns aligned with the VP of Content Strategy to promote products, services, or events. Escalate negative PR issues to the Director of Social Media with professional response plans while coordinating with the Moderation team. Oversee a creative/content team of two or more direct reports, delegating assignments, reviewing work product, and coaching writers toward the defined brand voice. Manage remote team members to ensure cohesive execution and accountability across specialized roles.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years as a Social Media Manager (or similar role) managing Meta (Facebook/Instagram) accounts with 100,000+ followers per account, including experience with a personal brand account
- 2 years directly supervising a creative/content team (2+ direct reports) delegating assignments, reviewing work product, and holding the team accountable to deadlines
- Experience managing remote or distributed team members, keeping output aligned across specialized roles (writers, designers, schedulers)
- Skilled at giving constructive feedback on creative output (copy, post scheduling) and coaching writers toward a defined brand voice
- Track record of translating senior leadership direction into clear team priorities, including re-prioritizing quickly when strategy shifts
- Analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to set audience growth metrics (size + engagement), interpret performance data, and turn it into next-step action plans and KPI-driven results
- Deep working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram platform policies, algorithms, and best practices
- Basic graphic design skills with a strong eye for visual/aesthetic content
- Demonstrated habit of staying current on social media trends and applying them to content strategy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
- Up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with anti-virus protection

- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and software
- Must be comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, OneDrive)
