Social Media Lead, Developer Audience
$139,000–$164,000 year
HybridNew York, United States
Job Summary
Own the voice, editorial standards, and publishing cadence for Datadog's developer channels across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, Discord, and dev.to. Treat replies as a primary surface to win mentions, turning shipped engineering work into releases, changelogs, and postmortems that drive trials and signups. Build the attribution model connecting content to growth outcomes, run real experiments with public kill switches, and lead the developer content engine around events. Grow the audience by getting engineers and external developers to post under their own names, while tracking competitor sentiment to route insights back to product and growth teams. This builder role sits in the Product org, giving you direct access to engineering peers and the flexibility to move quickly on what developers actually need.
Required Qualifications

- You have opinions about formats, platforms, and pacing, and you change them when the algorithms demand it
- You know what ships now and what needs a second set of eyes
- You're a vibe poster (or coder) and you know how to build hype
- You're comfortable with tools and automation, and you'd rather build a workflow than repeat a task
- You distrust vanity metrics
- Your writing doesn't get scrolled past
- Show us what you shipped and what it moved

- short-form video you produced yourself
