Job Summary
Part-time or full-time Social Media Coordinator in NYC responsible for planning and maintaining the social media calendar across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Live, owning distribution of content across channels, developing creative assets, and proposing ideas to grow engagement. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication, ability to write social media and eCommerce copy, cultivate relationships with online communities and influencers, monitor and respond to comments, and stay informed on best practices. Strong interest in skincare and makeup preferred; candidate should be self-starting, highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable in front of the camera, and able to wear multiple hats and contribute to strategy and execution. Bonus if you have graphic design experience. Requirements include knowledge of major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok), ability to execute short- and long-term strategy, and proactive community management.
Required Qualifications
- Prior social media and marketing experience (1 year preferred)
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to execute on short-term and long-term strategy
- Ability to write, edit and proof-read quality written content (social media copy and eCommerce copy)
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with online communities, influencers, and brand advocates
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries across social media platforms
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Wear multiple hats, and be willing to jump in where needed
- Bonus: graphic design experience
