Job Summary
Social Media Coordinator at Margaritaville at Sea drives digital marketing for onboard experiences through content creation and cross-platform management. Responsibilities include developing, scheduling, and publishing engaging social content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X), managing day-to-day social activity, analyzing performance to boost brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement, planning and executing campaigns with the Marketing team, maintaining brand voice and consistency, identifying trends and opportunities, collaborating with onboard teams (retail, entertainment, food & beverage) to align content with available experiences and revenue-generating initiatives, and staying current on social media trends and platform updates. Skills include content creation and basic editing (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), use of scheduling/analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Later), strong written/verbal communication, visual storytelling, cross-functional collaboration, and a guest-experience mindset. The role is classified as in-person with the office in Orlando, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong interest in social media marketing, travel, and lifestyle branding
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience creating and managing content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, or similar
- Exposure to content planning, scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Later), or social media analytics platforms is a plus
- Experience in hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or retail-related industries is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to support marketing campaigns, promotions, or brand initiatives
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, with knowledge of best practices for each
- Proficiency in content creation, including basic photo and video editing using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to improve performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging to align with brand voice
- Creative thinking with a strong eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, retail, and onboard operational teams
- Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of guest experience within the travel and hospitality industry
- Awareness of emerging social media trends, digital marketing strategies, and influencer marketing practices
- Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Travel: This role requires periodic travel, including time onboard company cruise ship vessels, to support marketing initiatives and gain operational insight.
- Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
