Job Summary
Social Media Coordinator at Canyon is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the gallery's social media presence. Lead end-to-end content creation (video, photography, captions), manage monthly content calendar, foster an engaging online community, capture on-site content with mobile/DSLR gear, coordinate with the communications team, and support influencer partnerships to grow reach and drive attendance for Canyon's Fall 2026 opening. Requires storytelling ability in short-form formats, proficiency with mobile video editing tools, social management platforms, and a passion for the arts and New York City's cultural landscape.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Art History, Communications, or related field
- 1 - 3+ years of professional experience in social media or digital marketing
- Portfolio or reel of social media work demonstrating creativity and technical execution
- Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone for different platforms
