Job Summary
Social Media Coordinator for Alex and Ani with focus on social-first content creation, influencer partnerships, and day-to-day social execution during the summer, based in Detroit with local travel for shoots. Responsibilities include scheduling content across platforms, assisting on-camera activations, supporting influencer gifting, staying on-trend with TikTok/Instagram, participating in on-camera shoots, and coordinating social reporting. Ideal candidate is a student or early-career creator fluent in TikTok/Instagram, with interest in fashion/jewelry, and pursuing or holding a related degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Digital Media, Fashion Merchandising.
Required Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling locally within the Detroit area for content shoots and activations
- Flexible part-time scheduling, with availability during standard working hours preferred
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and current social media trends
- Experience with Google Drive, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or social media scheduling tools (such as Hootsuite)
- Comfortable being on camera and participating in social-first video content
- Interest in fashion, jewelry, beauty, influencer marketing, and digital storytelling strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Marketing, Communications, PR, Digital Media, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field preferred
