Job Summary
Create and publish engaging social media content including graphics, photos, videos, reels, stories, and short-form content across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Assist with live coverage during games, practices, community events, and team appearances by capturing behind-the-scenes footage and player-focused material. Monitor platform trends to identify engagement opportunities, develop content calendars and campaign concepts, and write copy aligned with brand standards. Edit video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Work evenings, weekends, and select game days as needed. Submit a portfolio of social media samples, content examples, or links to personal accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and current digital trends
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube
- Proficiency with content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar software
- Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and select game days as needed
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Portfolio or examples of social media content
Desired Qualifications
- Passion for hockey, sports, and fan engagement preferred
- Photography and videography experience
- Basic graphic design knowledge
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations, teams, student groups, or personal brands
