Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator (On-Site)

Job Summary

Manage and maintain organizational social media accounts by creating, scheduling, and publishing clear content while developing content calendars for programs and campaigns. Design digital and printed promotional materials including graphics, posters, brochures, and event signage. Photograph and record events, programs, and community activities, then edit photographs and videos for social media, websites, and presentations. Maintain and update Wix websites, ensuring information is accurate and consistent, while assisting with virtual meetings and online events. Coordinate with staff and partners to gather information for promotional content and track performance using social media analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, digital media, public relations, or a related field
  • Experience managing social media accounts for an organization, business, nonprofit, or public agency
  • Experience creating graphics and promotional materials using Canva and Adobe applications
  • Experience with photography, videography, and video editing
  • Experience creating and scheduling social media content
  • Experience maintaining websites, preferably using Wix
  • Experience promoting community programs or public events
  • Experience developing content for multiple social media platforms
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and digital advertising
  • Understanding of web and social media accessibility practices
  • A portfolio demonstrating graphic design, social media, photography, videography, or video-editing work
  • Strong written communication, editing, proofreading, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with the public through digital channels
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, campaigns, and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and community partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 or comparable productivity and virtual-meeting tools
  • Creativity and a strong visual sense
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms
  • Sound judgment when responding to public inquiries or comments
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Ability to plan content in advance while responding quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a consistent organizational voice and visual identity
  • Ability to attend and document events that may occasionally occur outside normal business hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
