Job Summary
Provide social and emotional wellness strategies to staff, enrolled children, and families in the Child and Family Development Services program. Oversee development, implementation and monitoring of a research-based, coordinated coaching strategy to support services for children with challenging behaviors, ensuring alignment with Head Start Program Performance Standards and state/local licensing. Deliver training and technical assistance to center staff; conduct mental health assessments and classroom observations; support families through workshops; collaborate with coordinators to implement family goals and design or arrange trainings; participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate a program-wide approach to social-emotional opportunities. Flexible hours and travel required; duties include adherence to Head Start standards, compliance with regulations, and collaboration with team and community organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, special education, early childhood education, educational psychology, or other fields closely related to the job requirements
- one year experience working with children and families
- basic computer skills
- current physical exam, Mantoux tuberculosis screening, professional references, and clearances
