Job Summary

Social & Content Producer based in Sydney responsible for end-to-end content creation for the Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027. Lead ideation through production, editing, publishing and optimisation of bold, video-first content across social and digital channels. Create platform-native content (short and long form), write scripts, direct shoots, manage talent/crews, oversee editing, analyse performance data to optimise content and drive engagement and commercial outcomes including ticket sales. Collaborate with World Rugby and internal teams, manage creators and partners, travel for events as needed, and support a hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule with a future transition to more in-office work.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in social and content production
  • Proven ability to own content end-to-end from strategy to production, editing, publishing and optimisation
  • Highly skilled in video production and editing, with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Deep understanding of social and digital platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, X and LinkedIn) and what content performs best on each
  • A bold, creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh, disruptive ideas that capture attention and engage audiences at scale
  • Strong understanding of content performance, insights and monetisation, with a focus on driving engagement and commercial outcomes
  • Collaborative and hands-on, with excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with talent, creators, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience producing live or event-based content in fast-paced environments, with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines and create performance-driven content that achieves commercial outcomes
  • Proactive, adaptable and self-motivated, thriving in high-pressure environments and excited by the opportunity to be part of a major global event
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends as required
  • Hybrid game plan: Work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with a 3-day in-office schedule (Tues–Thu), moving to full-time in-office in 2027 as the tournament approaches
