Job Summary
Official on youth field enforcing rules while cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for programs. Responsible for enforcing i9 Sports rules books to create a fun, safe learning environment; teach core concepts including sportsmanship; keep time and score during games; manage age-appropriate instruction and competition; demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service; opt-in to texting for outreach. Franchised locations operate independently and determine local hiring decisions, compensation, benefits, and terms of employment. Opportunities to build coaching skills and be a role model for athletes across youth leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-7 in sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball; opportunities for online training; Tampa, Florida-based organization with nationwide reach.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
