Job Summary
Enforce rules, sportsmanship, and safety while refereeing youth soccer games and teaching age-appropriate basic rules. Develop players through in-game teaching moments, start games on time, and set up or clean up game spaces. Manage coaches by monitoring coaching styles, welcome families and players, and address safety concerns for spectators. Assist in coach recruitment and training, attend seasonal meetings, and respond to emergency situations per YMCA policy by completing incident reports. Maintain exceptional customer service to foster connections with members.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- valid work permit required if a minor
- Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
- Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous related experience preferred
