Job Summary
Lead and instruct soccer sessions for preschool, youth, and teen-age participants at the YMCA in Pawtucket, RI. Focus on fundamentals (dribbling, passing, shooting), coordination, movement, game awareness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while delivering an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment. Build positive relationships with participants and families, plan developmentally appropriate sessions aligned with YMCA values, communicate progress and updates to parents, and assist with equipment setup and program organization. Must comply with safety protocols and YMCA policies, including Child Abuse Prevention and background checks; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required; experience working with children and diverse populations preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
- Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire
- Completion of criminal background check and screening in accordance with YMCA standards
- Demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with youth
