Job Summary
The Official enforces i9 Sports rules on game day, acts as an on-field coach, and promotes a positive culture for players, coaches, and spectators. Responsibilities include understanding and enforcing rules, teaching core concepts like sportsmanship, keeping time and score, adjusting instruction to the appropriate level, maintaining a positive attitude, and delivering strong customer service. Requires excellent communication, sport-specific officiating/coaching experience, independence, situational awareness for player safety, relationship-building, and availability for weekend/evening games over the season, plus passing a National Criminal Background Check.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
