Job Summary
The Official enforces i9 Sports rules on the field, acts as an on-field coach, and advocates for the programs to foster a fun, learning, and safe environment. Responsibilities include understanding and enforcing rules, teaching core concepts including sportsmanship values, keeping time and score during games, managing age-appropriate instruction and competition, and delivering consistently positive customer service. Must have excellent communication, sport-specific officiating/playing/coaching experience, motivation, leadership to handle situations for player safety, and the ability to work weekends/evenings over the season (~7 weeks). Must pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
