Job Summary
Soccer Goalkeeper Coach for a high school program (grades 6-12). Under supervision of the Athletic Director and Soccer Program Head, lead goalkeeper instruction, assist in planning practices and game-day operations, mentor student-athletes, promote teamwork and discipline, ensure CIF compliance, manage travel logistics, and maintain team records. Requires goalkeeper coaching/playing experience, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred; US Soccer/United Soccer Coaches diplomas are also preferred. Hours vary with the athletic season, including some Sundays/nights/early mornings; on-campus position with salary of $35 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience in soccer, specifically goalkeeping (min. 2yrs)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- US Soccer and/or United Soccer Coaches diplomas/certifications (preferred)
- Experience with student programs in a high school setting
- Knowledge of CIF rules and regulations (preferred)
- Commitment to academic and athletic excellence
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
