Job Summary
Parts Back Counter Specialist drives shop efficiency and customer service by identifying parts, managing inventory, staging components, and delivering parts to customer sites. Responsibilities include technical parts identification for service and walk-in customers, overseeing end-to-end order lifecycle (receiving, picking, packaging, shipping), accurate data recording in the inventory system, maintaining warehouse organization, stage parts for installations, and occasional field delivery to customers. Requires forklift operation, ability to travel to customer locations, strong communication to support internal technicians and customers, and adherence to safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year in a parts counter role, ideally within a heavy equipment or automotive.
- Strong foundational understanding of mechanical components and heavy-duty systems.
- Proven ability to navigate complex parts catalogs and digital inventory management systems, preferably CDK.
- Must be proficient in forklift operation and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for customer travel.
- Ability to pivot between internal technician support and external customer-facing sales.
