SOC Analyst I

Job Summary
Monitor security events and conduct threat hunting for clients across multiple industries, including XDR, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning. Analyze data sets to correlate incidents, determine attack effectiveness, and document findings for escalation. Characterize network traffic to identify anomalies and work with customers to validate and resolve security incidents. Create analytic rules for automation, draft standard operating procedures, and perform recurring status calls. Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation. This role supports managed security services and requires Microsoft SC-900 certification within six months.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years working in Information Technology Administration, help desk or other equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or equivalent experience
- Experience with security tools
- Microsoft SC-900 (Within 6 months of employment)
- Microsoft SC-300 (Within 1 year of employment)
