Job Summary
Monitor security alerts and suspicious activities through the SIEM solution to ensure early detection, accurate identification, and swift response to potential security threats. Analyze security logs to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, while assisting in the implementation of detection rules to enhance threat detection capabilities. Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively identify emerging risks and implement necessary controls. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential weaknesses. Utilize threat intelligence to proactively identify potential security risks. This entry-level SOC Tier 1 role serves as the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring the security and integrity of the company's data and systems, with 24/7 coverage requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a SOC or similar security-focused role
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common cybersecurity threats
- Good knowledge of security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response procedures
- Accurately identifies patterns, anomalies, and potential threats that may be overlooked by others
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
