Job Summary
Provide instructional support to identified students demonstrating learning loss or gaps in English Language Arts, focusing on targeting specific learning needs. Tutor small groups of up to three students in grades K-5 in English/Language Arts and/or Math using provided district curriculum. Complete daily tutoring logs, track student attendance, and organize supplies and workspace. Log all time worked into the WCS time clock system and complete required training and TCRS forms. Work at various site locations as needed, maintaining adaptability when shifting between tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Education
- Valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Meets health and physical requirements
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
- Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control, and/or planning of an activity
- Adaptability to working with students
- Adaptability to making generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based upon sensory or judgmental criteria

- Must be able to lift or carry objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds
