SOAR Benefits Specialist to assist individuals in applying for disability benefits by providing comprehensive support throughout the application process. This role involves guiding individuals through the required paperwork, gathering necessary medical documentation, and advocating for their case to ensure they receive appropriate benefits in a timely manner. The position collaborates with healthcare providers, social services, and government agencies to ensure eligibility criteria are met and regulatory requirements are followed. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments, assisting with documentation and timelines, gathering medical records, submitting materials, following up on status, aiding appeals, maintaining confidential records, coordinating with natural supports, preparing reports, and ensuring clear communication with clients. Driving/travel may be required. Location: Raleigh, NC, with full-time schedule (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm). Benefits are provided as part of a competitive package.
