Job Summary

Teach ski lessons in a positive, safe, and fun manner to students of all abilities, demonstrating contemporary skills and conveying PSIA methodology concepts. Provide area and community information to guests while accurately maintaining timely documentation for teaching hours, attendance, progress, and incident management. Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students, maintaining a clean locker room and adhering to Bridger Bowl policies. Communicate clearly with parents, supervisors, and coworkers, exercising discretion with protected information and contributing to sustainability goals. This seasonal role requires skiing from stations to base for up to six hours daily, working in changing winter weather, and attending required meetings and training seminars under the supervision of Snowsports supervisors.

Required Qualifications

  • The ability to ski from assigned stations to the base area while demonstrating maneuvers to students throughout the duration of a lesson for up to 6 hours per day
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate clear instructions and safety information to students
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful candidates must have the ability to understand and communicate in English with adequate proficiency to follow directions from supervisor, read and understand safety guidelines and directions to prevent accidents or injuries from occurring, and effectively communicate with visitors and staff
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Be capable of lifting and carrying 40 lbs
  • Learning new tasks, remembering processes, maintaining focus, communicating effectively with coworkers and visitors, and the ability to complete tasks independently and efficiently under pressure
  • Instructors need to be adaptable with their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of individual students, demonstrating patience and understanding when working with varying skill levels
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
